Because of our profession, my husband and I were often absent, sometimes for several days, and Sonia took on, with great competence, full responsibility for looking after the children - nanny duties for Claire and, among other things, helping and overseeing Pierre's homework – as well as the running of the house. Sonia was very attentive and loving with our children. She also took great pleasure in organising games and early-learning activities for Claire's early development.
We trusted her completely and her ability to use her own inititative was invaluable. We were sorry to see her go but understood her reasons for wanting to improve her second language.
In spite of the estrangement and the time that has gone by, we've always kept in touch with Sonia, and my daughter Claire regularly goes to London to visit her.
For all these reasons, we recommend Sonia without reserve.

We are looking for a French speaker either, mother tongue French or someone who speaks it at an advanced level to lead a French conversation group of retired people once a week in the Finchley area. The volunteer might also be retired.
This is a non-paid position. The group is part of the U3A organization. The atmosphere is convivial. If you're interested please contact rina 020 8445 7358 or benami_rina@yahoo.com
