The acclaimed musical Piaf will be showing at the Vaudeville Theatre in London from October 21st to January 24th.
Revised
from the 1978 biography play by Pam Gem recounting the story of the
famous French icon Edith Piaf, the revival is directed by Donmar
Warehouse's Michael Grandage.
Piaf follows the rise of the
singer who made "Non, je ne regretted rien" and "La vie en rose"
famous, from poverty on the streets and various misfortunes to the
limelight of the public eye, before succumbing to cancer at the age of
43.
In the lead role is Elena Roger, whose credits include
representing the title character in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita at the
Adelphi Theatre.
