About the Author
David Foenkinos was born in 1974 and has published six novels to date including "Inversion de l’Idiotie", "De l’influence de deux Polonais" (winner of the François-Mauriac de l’Académie Française prize) and "Qui se souvient de David Foenkinos?" (shortlisted for the Femina prize, and winner of the Jean Giono prize). The Erotic Potential is the first to be translated into English, and is currently also being adapted for the screen. Foenkinos is also a comic-strip writer, and has worked on screenplays for directors Jacques Doillon and Cédric Klapisch. His first theatre play will be staged in September 2008.
