Yelle
Yelle (pronounced "Yell") is one of the latest music sensations who has bubbled up via the web and who now is helped by one of the four largest European record labels, promoted from an expansive community of electronic music-obsessed blogs, and primed to shoot to the top of the music industry! The French pop artist made her debut touring with Mika as supporting act, and is now starting to take Europe and the US by storm!
Inspired by the chauvinistic hip-hop of fellow Frenchmen T.T.C, Yelle makes pop music that leads to dancing as a side effect. Claps and whistles at the outset of Pop Up (EMI/Virgin France) immediately indicate the album’s playfulness to listeners.
Hopefully, dancers and fans will be able to be closer to the stage and to this pretty crazy lady, when she plays the Proud Gallery for a unique London performance!
