French-born singer, Mina Agossi, recently released her second album on Candid in the UK and the US. As well as winning many awards she has collaborated with some highly prestigious musicians and regularly performs with the likes of Archie Shepp, Spirit of Life Ensemble, Mukta, and Archie Shepp. Performing with the unusual backing of just bass player Eric Jacot and drummer Ichiro Onoe, Mina will showcase creative originals and startling re-interpretations of familiar classics. Her inimitable, fresh approach gives the vocal scene a much-needed push in a brand new direction. 
According to The Guardian, Mina Agossi, "Acting out each lyric with facial mannerisms and vocal eccentricities that bring to mind performers as compelling as Louis Armstrong, Anita O' Day and Bjork: you can't take your eyes off her".
Following her acclaimed 2005 debut Zaboum! the new album from the French-Beninoise singer has been released in March 2006. Already making waves in France, Well You Needn't! has received the sought after “CHOC” award from the ever so popular Jazzman magazine and was in the top 10 on the French album charts.
