Situated in a small quiet street that makes you feel that you are in the countryside because of the stables beside it, L'Angelus is a true French restaurant that only opened on 22nd August this year and already has a 4-week waiting list. The first step you take when entering this welcoming restaurant is through an atypical French Brasserie, the décor is unusual as it is more like a pub than a French Brasserie, with its bar, its quilted benches and its 1900's style. For a more intimate moment you can also opt for the lounge where you can relax and have a drink or simply an enjoyable time in this warm atmosphere. The aim there was to create a cozy atmosphere to make people feel at home, listening to French singers such as Brassens, Brel or Edith Piaf’s timeless songs. You can choose to have a more formal meal or if you just want to have a fast meal at any time of the day, you can simply sit at the bar and sample a delicious wild mushroom omelet with a mesclum salad or a beef tartar with chips. L'Angelus can also cater for groups of people thanks to its second, and more private room, downstairs. The Angelus is of course a French restaurant, but it is open to British culture, it goes across times as its meal from the 21st century mix with its 20th century's interior decoration. The final touch is the dinning table inside the kitchen that caters for a few people at a time. They can eat there whilst admiring the work that goes into the art of French cuisine. Dinner around £50 a head with wine and service.

Celebrate Bastille Day early (or late) this year at restaurant Angelus


On Sunday the 13th July “one day early!” Angelus is offering a special “revolutionary” lunch to commemorate Bastille Day. The menu will also be specially extending to include lunch on Tuesday the 15th July

Lieu jaune à la plancha, fine ratatouille aux sucs de poivrons doux
Pollack a la plancha, ratatouille with peppers

Volaille rôti à la fleur de thym, pommes grenaille et lentin de chêne
