Baby Chest Physiotherapy to Make Breathing Easier- A French Technique that Works
Baby chest physiotherapy is a special therapy which uses specific techniques to loosen and clear mucus from the chest. This treatment helps to clear the baby’s airways and will help the baby to feed better, breathe more easily and let everyone have a peaceful night’s sleep.

This technique is widely used in France and yet seldom used in the UK. This treatment can help babies with bronchiolitis, children with asthma or more serious conditions such as cystic fibrosis.
What do chest paediatric physios do? They assist in the evacuation of secretions blocking the airways which will help the child to breathe more easily. For more chronic conditions, physio may help prevent or delay damage to their growing lungs.
The physio will evaluate and monitor respiratory distress signs, use specific techniques to free the airways and give fun breathing exercises for older children.
Physio for All
At Physio for All they have a team of four experienced physios who specialise in this type of physiotherapy for babies. They offer this service seven days a week at Chelsea and Battersea and also home visits for more convenience. Their multidisciplinary team of therapists speak a variety of languages including French, English, Spanish and German.
For over 20 years, Physio for All has been providing Chest Paediatric Physiotherapy at their Chelsea and Battersea London practices as well as home visits. They work closely with doctors and specialists. They treat babies with bronchiolitis, children with asthma or with more severe conditions such as cystic fibrosis.
They guaranty that all patients are seen within 24 hours.
“ I thought it would clear up by itself but the cough kept on for weeks until I saw a physio...”
