Tax Back

ARE YOU WORKING IN THE UK?
DID YOU KNOW THAT 97% OF FRENCH WORKERS ARE DUE A TAX REBATE?
- Who is eligible?
Anyone who left their employment before the end of the Tax year (5th April), has earned under the Tax-free allowance, is on the wrong tax code, or is working in the construction industry.
- When Can I claim?
For anyone currently working in the UK, you can claim for the current tax year only at the end of that financial year or when you have finished work and won’t be working again in that financial year. However, you can claim for the previous years at any time.
- How can I claim?
You can either lodge your claim with the Inland Revenue. This may take a while if you haven’t sent the correct information or didn’t fill in the forms correctly.
Or you can ask a Tax Agent to help you do your Tax return and take care of the whole process.
Taxback are the experts in Tax rebates. As founder members of the Association of Tax Agents, you can be sure that your money is secure. They offer a free, no obligation consultation and they won’t charge you any extra fees for administration. Check our tax calculator online: www.taxback.co.uk
- What do I need?
A P45 from every job you have had, and a P60, if you were employed by a company on the 5th April.
Many people don’t realise they can opt out of the State second Pension and claim their National Insurance rebate. The average NI refund is £1645.
- Who is eligible?
You must have been employed in the UK (not self-employed), have a permanent NI number (Taxback can apply for a NI number on your behalf) and be making, or have made financial contributions in the current financial year.
- How does it work?
When you contract out, you leave the state pension scheme and ask the state to redirect your NI contributions into a private pension fund. You have to remember that if you don’t opt-out, and work in the UK for less than 11 years, you will never be entitled to that pension anyway.
- When can I do it?
You must lodge your NI rebate, before the end of the tax year 6th April 2006, for 2005/2006. You will be able to access that money when you decide to retire and have the money transferred into a bank account.
